Thank you for reminding us that are GOOD things happening in the world. My younger son is actually in French Polynesia right now with a group that is trying to replenish the world's coral reefs. Today he sent me a video of a humpback whale playfully swimming along side him. Also, very glad you made the crossover to Substack. . .now I can post the link to your SubStack page in other newsletters (e.g. Heather Cox Richardson, Robert Hubbell) to provide some positive inspiration!!!๐๐
Though I would follow you anywhere, great you moved to Substack! Your reporting, research, focus on the positive, dedication, philanthropy and more are awesome. Deeply grateful - love who you are and what you do.
Katie from Canada is absolutely spot on. I have recommended this newsletter to so many people! I read the new year round up to my parents when they were feeling despair about the state of the world and there was an energy shift in the room. It's amazing. It's a life force and it's lifted me from my own despair.
Frustrated to see this move towards Substack, especially so recently after they sent Nazi newsletters to peoples inboxes on top of providing bigots with massive platforms. Feels truly antithetical to what you've promoted in the past. I'll follow again if you ever move to a different service.
I already have multiple Substack subscriptions so know the platform well. I wish Fix The News well on this new platform and hope the reasons for switching come to fruition. FTN deserves to be much more widely known and read, maybe someday to the point that it instigates a revolution in mainstream media upending its constant stream of negativity. Ultimate wish come true!
Fix the News shows that the world is still amazing and that people do good things, for themselves, for their neighbors, for their environments. It is imperative that we be reminded that we can make a difference.
Earlier this year I found Fix The News. What a breath of fresh air. Since January my news following was mostly BlueSky and Substack. And while these newer apps and platform provide a viewpoint that is missing from the other more populist social media, unfortunately I find many journalists (who are excellent) are exhausted and their output stresses me as much as the mainstream crap. Progressively through the year my hypervigilance has gone into overdrive and I have ceased all updates from Substack and Bluesky though I continue to receive your emails. (While addressing my mental health through medication and a visit to a psychologist). The latest email you sent has motivated me to make a donation for this year. Please keep up your excellent work. I do look forward to your positivity, even though we all know, how much is not so good. We don't need it shoved down our throats every second of the day. It doesn't help to build resilience to be able to respond to what's happening.
Your perseverance in this age of disenlightenment is inspirational. Thank you for the time and energy you devote to the greater good. Your work brings much needed balance to so many lives and I hope that we all manage to bring others on board to share this journey.
While I would subscribe anywhere, being on Substack does make it easier for me to share and encourage other subscribers. I will add FTN to my recommendations on my own Substack.
Here's another fan testimonial: I have shared FTN with so many people verbally and many of them have subscribed. More tangibly, I also do a weekly LinkedIn post called Surge of Hope highlighting one positive story in the world to my network and 80% of the time that story comes from FTN (with due credit given). Thank you for being my weekly shot of inspiration!
I've supported you financially for many years, but with your move to substack I have cancelled my subscription. I simply cannot square my values with it. If you ever change back to a different newsletter platform I will happily renew my financial support.

I find it easier to read on substack! No strange color contrasts, no words cut off.
"realistic optimism isn't naรฏve. It's armour." This is an important truth Angus and team.
