From Brisbane, our hearts are hurting with yours, as we come to terms with the unimaginable horror of this massacre.
At the same time we stand in awe at the bravery exhibited by those who put the lives of others ahead of their own, regardless of race or religion. Tangible evidence that Light will always overcome darkness…
At a time when the focus is on the horror and some leap in to try to sow fear and division, others witness and take to heart the essential humanity that connects us. Especially exemplified for those who sacrificed their well being for others.
This is the good news; this is fixing the news.
It is out of the test and trials that progress is boosted most.
As another has said here, light will always overcome darkness.
Just know that readers in Canada feel your horror and sadness. Please take all the time you need, to unpack this tragedy; your readers will still be here when you feel up to writing the year end compilation.
As a fellow Canadian, I echo this sentiment from Terry-Lynn. In addition, I've been to Australia four times and I always felt safe. So I can only imagine the horror for everyone there. Condolences.
Much love to you and yours. I'm glad your personal friends were not hurt, and my grief goes to those that were, and of those lost, may their memory be a blessing. Take your time being with this.
So, so sorry that the illness of mass shootings has spread to Australia. Sending love and light to those impacted. Hatred and violence are never the answer. 💔
Take the time you need. I live in the US, and the Bondi Beach thing knocked me silly. You guys are usually better than us. You WILL have a more effective response than we ever do, but please accept my condolences.
I subscribe because I believe you to be an antidote to the the despair that causes actions like this. Sadly despair is contagious, and has overbalanced hope and positivity for too long; we all need to fight back by fixing the news to show the other side. Thank you for what you do.
I have been looking for you on Instagram, but I haven't found you yet. Do you post there? If not would you consider it (I am not a fan of the Meta poison, but it can be used for good)? I think a daily dose of good news would be nice.
I wish I could say that I cannot imagine what you are facing, but mass shootings are a fact of life in the US.
I know that Australia will approach this horror with a humanity and urgency that is absent in America.
I wish you and your family/friends increasing moments of solace during this challenging time.
May you take all the time you need. Sending you love, comfort and care. You do so much good with your publication, thank you.

Perfectly understandable. It's been a really hard thing for us to deal with. Take care.

I'm so very sorry for all in Australia. This just "isn't like you". I hope it remains an aberration.
Take a breath. Hug each other. Take your time . . .
We'll wait and be here when you get back.

Ditto to Amanda Cruise's comment.
